Lindsey
Certified Pilates Instructor
Lindsey is a Pilates instructor and lifelong athlete who has been training in movement since childhood. Her background includes classical ballet, competitive horseback riding, cheerleading, tumbling, and Pilates, which she began practicing in her teens.
For Lindsey, Pilates is not a new practice — it has been part of the way she understands movement, strength, posture, and body awareness for much of her life. Her experience as a dancer and competitive equestrian gives her a strong eye for form, alignment, coordination, and control. In her teaching, she focuses on helping clients move with better awareness, build strength, and feel more connected to their bodies.
Lindsey’s approach is also personal. After living with the pain and physical challenges of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, she understands how frustrating and limiting it can feel to be in a body that does not always feel stable or predictable. Her experience has shaped the way she works with clients, especially those navigating hypermobility, chronic pain, or physical limitations. She is passionate about helping people build strength and stability in a way that feels supportive, effective, and sustainable.
Lindsey received her Pilates training through Linda Taylor, whose program is rooted in the West Coast Pilates lineage influenced by Ron Fletcher, a Martha Graham dancer and student of Joseph Pilates. Her training gave her a strong foundation in the Pilates apparatuses and in understanding how the body can be strengthened and rebalanced through careful, intentional movement.
Originally from the DMV, Lindsey trained in classical ballet at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre & Academy and grew up competing in the hunter/jumper discipline at Potomac Horse Center. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from NC State and spent eight years living in New York City before returning to Washington DC.
